London Couples Photography – Frequently asked questions
What’s your photography style?
My couples sessions are relaxed, natural, and connection-led. I’m not looking for awkward poses or forced smiles - I’m interested in how you interact, laugh, walk, talk, and spend time together. The result is images that feel genuine and timeless.
Where does the session take place?
Your session can take place somewhere meaningful to you - a favourite London street, a beautiful park, a neighbourhood you love, or a location that simply feels right. If you’re visiting London, we can also include some of the city’s iconic landmarks as part of your session. If you’re not sure where to start, I’m very happy to suggest locations that suit the feel you’re after.
How long does a couples session last?
Most couples sessions last around an hour, which gives us plenty of time to relax, move around a little, and capture a lovely variety of images without it feeling rushed.
We’re a bit awkward in front of the camera - is that a problem?
Not at all. Almost every couple says this - and it’s completely normal. You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do. I’ll gently guide you when needed, but mostly I’ll help you relax and focus on each other. If it feels easy and natural, the photos will look that way too.
Will you tell us what to do?
Yes - but gently. I’ll give light direction when it helps, so you’re never left wondering what to do with your hands! Think prompts rather than poses, and plenty of space to just be yourselves.
What should we wear?
Wear something that feels comfortable and like you. Coordinating rather than matching works really well, and simple outfits photograph beautifully. If you’re unsure, I’m always happy to help you think it through.
What if it rains?
If the weather isn’t on our side, we can be flexible - that might mean adjusting the timing or rescheduling if needed. I’ll always be in touch ahead of your session to make a plan that works.
Do you photograph in colour or black & white?
I deliver a mix of both, choosing what works best for each image and suits the overall feel of your session.
How and when do we see our photos?
Your edited images will be ready to view in a private online gallery around one to two weeks after your session.
Are you insured?
Yes - I have both public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
How do we book a session?
Just get in touch and we’ll find a date that works for you. To secure your booking, I’ll ask for a signed contract and a booking fee to hold the date.
