In my work as a London travel and vacation photographer I meet so many interesting people. It’s one of my favourite parts of the job! This vacation session was with a lovely mum, who is a wedding and family photographer in the USA, and her charming daughter. Photographing another photographer can be slightly daunting, but I love it! There’s always a lot to talk about and so many notes to compare!
London Travel and Vacation Photographer around Tower Bridge
We met up early one beautiful sunny morning in a coffee shop near Tower Bridge. After a quick breakfast and chat we began our London vacation photography session. I absolutely love photographing around Tower Bridge and I’ve done lots of vacation shoots in the area over the years. There are of course the stunning London landmarks to include in the photos, but also some lesser known little streets and colourful walls tucked away that I love to use in the images too.
Fun vacation portraits
This mum and daughter team were such fun to photograph – they chatted and laughed their way through most of their vacation session. The daughter was obviously used to being in front of her mum’s camera and the pair of them made my job very easy that day! We got so many fun portraits of the two of them exploring London together.
Natural holiday portraits in Borough Market
After taking lots of holiday photographs around Tower Bridge we walked along the River Thames to Borough Market. This is another of my absolute favourite locations for vacation photography in London. The area surrounding it is full of quirky streets, including one with a fantastic hearts mural on the wall. This colourful wallart seems to be appearing in a lot of my family photographs at the moment! And the food market itself is fascinating and full of delicious smelling stalls. In fact, the people I’m photographing usually get so engrossed looking around Borough Market that they forget I’m there. This produces some really colourful, natural candid portraits which I love.
