Wedding Photography – Frequently Asked Questions

How long is your coverage on the wedding day?
I like to start photographing when the bride is getting ready, normally a few hours before the service and finish after the first hour of dancing.

How many images will I receive after the wedding?
You will receive approximately 500 fully edited images on a USB. I do not provide unedited or RAW files.

How soon do I receive my photos?
Images are typically ready for viewing 4 weeks after the wedding.

Your complete collection includes an engagement shoot – what is this?
The engagement shoot is a 1-hour session that happens a few months before the wedding. It can take place anywhere in London, hopefully somewhere that means a lot to both of you. This is a great opportunity for us to chat about your wedding plans and for you both to feel comfortable in front of the camera – one less thing to think about on the wedding day. You will receive all the edited images (approx 50).

Do you photograph details on the wedding day?
Absolutely - you take a lot of care choosing your dress, shoes, table settings etc. - they certainly deserve their own photos.

Can you design an album for us after the wedding?
Yes I'd love to, just choose my album or complete collection.

If we choose the digital collection can we then order an album at a later date?
Yes – if you decide you'd like an album any time up to 4 weeks after viewing your wedding images the cost will be £500 (the difference in price between the digital and album collections). After that album prices will be subject to change.

Will the photos be in colour or black and white?
I do a mixture, choosing what I think works for each photo individually.

How would you define your photography style?
I try and keep my photography as relaxed and natural as possible. I like to capture moments as they happen, without directing people and setting up shots. Hopefully on the day you'll hardly notice I'm there.

Do you take group shots?
Absolutely – for some people these are an important memory of the day. So they don't take up too much time on your special day I recommend having 6-8 group shots.

How long will the bride and groom portraits take on the day?
This can vary depending on your requirements and timings of the day - we can talk about what will work best for you. A good guideline is to allow 20 minutes fairly soon after the ceremony and 10 minutes later on in the day as the light changes. This should be plenty of time to get some creative and varied images of you both.

Is there a way to share our wedding photos with guests and friends?
Yes, your photos will go into a private online gallery (password protected) for you to share with anyone you like. Your family and friends will be able to order professional prints from the gallery: prices start at £5 and are subject to change at the beginning of every year. I can also provide copy USBs of all the wedding images for £25 each.

Do you photograph the guests as well?
Yes, I will take some candid photos of your guests. It's impossible to get a photograph of everyone at your wedding but I will get as many as I can, depending on the timings of the day. Please let me know if there is a particular guest that you want photographed.

Do you have insurance?
Yes, I have both public liability and professional indemnity insurance.

How do we book?
Just get in contact with your wedding date and location – I'll check my availability and we'll go from there. When it's all agreed, I just need a signed contract and a non-refundable booking payment of £500 to secure the date (the balance is payable a month before the wedding.)
