London Newborn Photographer – Details

Posted by & filed under Families.

Working as a London newborn photographer is an absolute privilege and one I never take for granted. At this amazing time in a family’s life I am invited into homes to record a brand new little person. How incredible is that? My newborn photography sessions always take place in the family’s home. No need to come to an unfamiliar studio. And no need to try and get out of the house at a particular time. I remember from when mine were tiny this is no easy task! The family can just relax in the comfort of their home and I travel to them, wherever they are in London, for their newborn photography session.

Relaxing newborn photography in the comfort of your own home

As well as this being much more relaxing for the parents, who are likely to be exhausted from lack of sleep, it’s also wonderful to have the family home as the backdrop to the baby photographs. These images will be so special as the baby grows up and will be able to see where they spent their early years.

Newborn portraits, family photos and feet!

When I photograph newborns I take lots of photos of the baby alone. I also get some relaxed family portraits of the parents holding their little bundle of joy. And then I spend some time photographing some of the sweet little details, completely unique to that particular newborn. Their eyelashes, their mouth, their little hands and, as in this image, their teeny feet. I love the way the toes are curled up and enjoying the wonderful texture of the rug. Although you can’t see the baby’s face I really feel the image works just as it is. In years to come the parents will look back in wonder at how very tiny and perfect these beautiful little feet were.
