As a London childrens photographer I enjoy photographing kids of all ages. It’s so different photographing toddlers and teenagers but I love the challenges that both bring! In this family photography session at the end of 2018 (yes, I am very behind on my blogging!) I got the chance to create some natural portraits of three charming children with their mum.
Keeping warm for some fun portraits!
We met up by the River Thames in Fulham one extremely cold winter’s morning! The family spent a lot of time jumping around and cuddling to keep warm, which made for some fun family portraits. I also wanted to get some natural portraits of each child, so we made some time for that, using the wonderful backdrop of the River Thames.
After that we had a lovely walk along the river path and the family chatted and laughed the whole way. In fact, they pretty much laughed for the whole photography session, it was wonderful! After a good walk they sat down and had a hilarious joke-telling session! I love photographing people when they’re laughing – it doesn’t get much more natural than that!
I really enjoyed this morning as a London childrens photographer and was so happy with the images we got. There are so many favourite natural portraits for me, but one of them has to be of the two sisters kissing their mum. I just know that this image will be treasured for years to come.
