I’m loving this summer – meeting new families and taking so many vacation photos in London. This particular family from the USA chose one of my most popular routes for their family portraits, from Tower Bridge to St Paul’s Cathedral. It’s such a beautiful part of London and one that I never get bored of!
Natural family portraits in London’s secret streets!
There are some great spots for vacation photos around Tower Bridge, both north and south of the river. Of course there is the Bridge itself and the historic Tower of London. But there are also little streets that you might not know if you are visiting London for the first time. I really enjoy showing new families some of these hidden gems in this amazing city. It’s also fascinating getting to know new families and hearing about their lives.
This lovely American family of seven had booked their London vacation photography session on the day after they arrived in the city. Unfortunately for them they had a terrible journey. Because of bad weather they missed their connecting flight and had to wait hours for another one. Because of their delay we postponed their vacation session for a few days, something I’m always happy to do. When we eventually met up they’d had a few days to relax and were eager to explore London’s Southbank.

Their family photography session took in so many fantastic locations, using the most incredible backdrops London has to offer. Tower Bridge, Borough Market and St Paul’s Cathedral to name a few. The family were brilliant to photograph and so lovely to chat with and didn’t complain once, even though we walked around 10K during our photoshoot!
