My life doing natural family portrait photography is one full of fun and variety. No two family photography sessions are ever the same and I look forward to every single one of them.
This particular London family photography session last year was fantastic and I’m so happy to share some of the natural portraits from my morning with the family. We met up in their beautiful London home and the eldest daughter greeted me happily, while her baby sister was finishing her morning nap. This sweet little girl was so excited about the photoshoot, even if not quite sure what it would entail!
I asked her what her favourite thing to do was and she said it was to read. So she took out some of her books and we got some lovely images of her enjoying the stories. When her baby sister woke up we took some natural family portraits of them all together. They laughed and played on the sofa, making it easy to capture some genuine family moments. The two little sisters then decided it was time to sit inside the toy box! This created one of my favourite images from this London family photography session. Natural family portrait photography in the secret garden!
The family home backed onto a huge private garden square, hidden away from busy city life. I adore these spaces in London. They’re like secret gardens tucked away – often invisible to everyone except those living in the houses surrounding them. We made our way there to get some more family photographs and were lucky enough to have the whole space to ourselves. We created some natural family portraits with the beautiful colour of the trees as a backdrop. After that we had some fun running around this amazing space playing games. This gave me lots of opportunities to capture some more candid shots of this delightful family.
