I enjoyed this London family photoshoot so much. It took place last summer on a beautifully warm day. The lovely family had booked one of my London family photography sessions after I’d photographed their children at a Nursery. We decided to do the family photoshoot in their local park, which they loved and where they spent a lot of their free time. It’s always good to choose a location which your children are familiar with. They’ll be so comfortable there and this will shine through in the images.
A fun London family photoshoot
The session was such good fun and we got lots of relaxed family portraits. There was also plenty of time for running around, being thrown in the air and exploring a mini maze – all of which were such fun to photograph and made some great candid photographs. One of my favourite images from the photoshoot is the first one below. The family were sitting on the grass for some family portraits (and a quick snack!) and the little girl decided this was the best time for a daddy cuddle. I’m so happy with the resulting image of a beautiful, spontaneous family moment.
Beautiful albums to display your images
More recently, during lockdown, I had the pleasure of designing an album for this family. It was wonderful to be transported back to more carefree times while I went through all the photos again. It was one of many album orders that I’ve had over the last few months. I think lockdown has given lots of families more time to think about how they’d like to display the images from their family photography session. It’s really been a lovely way to spend my time, while I’ve been unable to get out and photograph families.
Now lockdown is gradually being eased I’m back photographing again, which is fantastic.
