Fun family photograph

So here’s a fun family photograph for you to enjoy! Those of you who know me will know that I love to find humour in my life. Of course, it’s not always possible, but if I can find something to laugh about every day, I’m very grateful.

The same goes for my photography. When photographing people, I like to capture a whole range of emotions in my images. It’s real life after all. And especially when photographing children, you never quite know what to expect! Whatever happens during a family photography session, there will usually be something funny that occurs at some point. Because children just do the funniest things! And when I photograph families, as well as taking some relaxed family portraits, most of the session is spent capturing the action as it happens.

London Vacation Photography

This particular image was from a wonderful London vacation photography session last year. It was in the days when everyone could travel freely (seems like another world now!) The lovely couple were on holiday in London with their cute baby boy and wanted to capture a morning of their vacation with some professional family photographs.

We chose the area between Tower Bridge and Borough Market for their vacation photoshoot. It was the perfect choice as the mother had lived near Borough Market previously. So returning to the area with her baby boy was particularly poignant.

Somewhere on our walk between Tower Bridge and Borough Market we stopped for some family portraits in a little park. The parents were busy making their baby laugh when the little boy grabbed his daddy’s face and poked him in the eye! Luckily, I caught the moment and I’m so glad I did. Although I’m sorry for any pain that was caused, I think it made for such a fun family portrait. One that I’m sure the little baby boy will enjoy in years to come.
