I’m always happy to get the chance to share some Chelsea Old Town Hall wedding portraits on my blog. Chelsea Old Town Hall has to be one of my favourite London wedding venues. Not only is it a stunning Victorian building, but it is also set on the fabulous Kings Road in Chelsea. And on top of that it’s not too far from where I live!
To make this wedding day perfect the bride and groom were also delightful to spend time with and photograph! The ceremony inside Chelsea Old Town Hall was beautiful. It was so moving to watch this lovely wedding couple say I do. When the service finished we made our way on to the steps that lead to King’s Road in Chelsea for the iconic confetti photograph.

The confetti shot in any wedding is always one of my favourite images from the day. The wedding couple are so excited to be newlyweds, while the family and guests are happy to be throwing confetti all over them. It’s just such a joyous moment on the wedding day – one that is a privilege to photograph and freeze in time forever. It makes for a particularly stunning image on the steps of the Chelsea Old Town Hall.
Natural Chelsea Old Town Hall Wedding Portraits
The guests then made their way along the King’s Road to the reception at the Ivy Chelsea Garden. This gave me and the wedding couple a chance to get some natural wedding portraits around Chelsea. There are some great locations just a couple of minutes’ walk from the Chelsea Old Town Hall, so I knew the couple wouldn’t need to be away from their friends for long. In some of the images I made use of the pink roses in St. Luke’s Church Gardens. I love a splash of colour in photos! At one point I asked the couple to stop briefly in the square opposite the flower-covered Ivy Chelsea Garden. At this exact moment a red London bus drove down the King’s Road into the image. I couldn’t have been happier!
