I love being a family photographer as I get the chance to record some very special days in family life. For this London family portrait session I was asked to capture some candid shots of the three generations who had come together for a special celebration.
Kids portrait photography is always fun and we started off with some children’s photographs in different places around their home in West London. They were soon joined by the other family members and after taking some relaxed, informal pictures it soon developed into a riot of excitement!
We moved outside for a leisurely walk beside the River Thames to catch some really natural images of the family as they enjoyed the stroll along the waterside. The five children had been so well behaved we decided to finish off in Bishops Park, where they could let off some steam. It was a lovely way to end their first family photography session and I hope you enjoy looking at a few of the results below.
One of my favourite images from this family photography session is the first one, where we wanted to get a group portrait shot of the five children with their grandmother. The children arranged themselves nicely on the sofa and then the tickling started! The result is a fun, vibrant image which shows what a great relationship they have with their grandma.
