Family Portrait Session – London

Posted by & filed under Families.

I love being a family photographer as I get the chance to record some very special days in family life. For this London family portrait session I was asked to capture some candid shots of the three generations. They had come together for a special celebration so it was a perfect time to get some beautiful portraits done.

Kids portrait photography is always fun and I enjoy it so much. We started off with some children’s photographs in different places around their home in West London. They were soon joined by the other family members and after taking some relaxed, informal pictures it soon developed into a riot of excitement!

After this we moved outside for a leisurely walk beside the River Thames. We captured some really natural images of the family as they enjoyed the stroll along the waterside. The five children had been so well behaved we decided to finish off in Bishops Park. This worked out perfectly as the children could all let off some steam. It was a lovely way to end their first family photography session and I hope you enjoy looking at a few of the results below.

One of my favourite images from this family photography session is the first one. We wanted to get a group portrait shot of the five children with their grandmother. The children arranged themselves nicely on the sofa and then the tickling started! The result is a fun, vibrant image which shows what a great relationship they have with their grandma.
