Tower Bridge Family Photographer

Tower Bridge is one of the most recognisable landmarks in London. For that reason, it is also one of the most popular places for family photography sessions. As a Tower Bridge family photographer, I love working here because the area offers beautiful views and a variety of interesting backdrops.

This particular session began with a lovely group of six people. Mum, dad, their son and daughter were joined by the children’s grandparents. We started by taking several relaxed family portraits with Tower Bridge behind them.

First, we captured some larger group photographs so that everyone could be included. Then we created smaller combinations as well. For example, the grandparents enjoyed some special moments with the children. Meanwhile, mum and dad had a few photographs together with their family.

Because everyone was relaxed, the photographs quickly felt natural. After a while, the grandparents decided to take a break and find a nearby café. Therefore, the session continued with the family of four.

Soon afterwards we walked through Shad Thames. The cobbled streets and old warehouse buildings create a completely different atmosphere, which made these images feel more intimate and atmospheric.

Next, we crossed Tower Bridge and continued the session at St Katharine Docks. This area is quieter and full of character. In addition, the colourful buildings and boats provide a beautiful setting for photographs.

Here we captured a variety of family combinations. There were playful photos of the children together, along with individual portraits of each child. Meanwhile, mum and dad enjoyed a few relaxed photographs of just the two of them.

Some of my favourite images were taken in front of The Old Dickens Inn. The building has so much character and always photographs beautifully.

Nearby we also stopped beside a classic red telephone box and a traditional London post box. These small details add a very recognisable London feel to the images.

Finally, we finished the session beside some colourful murals around the docks. These bright backdrops created a fun ending to the gallery.

Sessions like this show how varied a Tower Bridge family photography session can be. Within a short walk, it is possible to capture iconic landmarks, historic streets, and vibrant London details. Most importantly, the photographs reflect the family enjoying their time together in one of the city’s most memorable locations.
