Summer Family Photography Sessions

Posted by & filed under Families.

It feels so good to be doing family photography sessions again! After a few months break from my photography due to the pandemic, I’m now back doing what I love. Photographing families, children and babies in beautiful, natural outdoor settings. I’ve missed meeting and photographing families so much during lockdown and it feels amazing to be back, with so much energy and lots of new ideas!

Family photography sessions in your local park

The image below was from one of my recent family photography sessions. I met up with the lovely family in their local park, early one Saturday morning. Photographing families in their nearby park is not only convenient for them, but is also wonderful as the park, where they spend so much family time together, becomes the backdrop for the images.

The park had everything I hope to find for my family photography sessions. Lots of greenery, beautiful trees, pretty flowers and a few brightly coloured painted doors too. So many options for a variety of backgrounds!

Children’s Portrait amongst the flowers

The little girl in the portrait below was so sweet and chatty from the moment we met. She was so comfortable in front of the camera and very easy to photograph. After taking some natural portraits of her sitting on the grass we all had a little wander around the park. I saw these beautiful purple flowers and knew they would make a great background for some children’s portraits. As she chatted to her mum and dad, I took a few photos and was delighted with the image below. It’s so summery and will always remind the family of their lovely walks through their favourite local park.

If you’d like to book one of my family photography sessions, please do get in touch. Details can be found here London Family Photographer
