The Societies of Photographers Convention and Trade Show 2019

The Societies of Photographers Convention and Trade Show takes place in London every year. It it held over several days and is full of wonderful masterclasses and talks from inspirational photographers. At the Trade Show you can meet over 100 of the world’s biggest suppliers of photography products.

I go every year and I love it. I enjoyed it so much this time that I wanted to share my experience while it was still fresh in my mind. The last day was only yesterday so I’m still on a bit of a high from the whole event!

As well as listening to some of the UK’s top photographers speak, it’s a great chance to catch up with fellow photographers who have become good friends over the years. As a photographer you spend quite a lot of time alone, so it’s great to have a four-day event where you can hang out with like-minded people. It’s a good excuse for nice lunches and a few drinks too!

Albums, Frames and much much more……

The other really important thing about the Trade Show for me is to look at all the products I currently offer my clients and check out some new ones too. In my business I’m proud to use what I think are the best albums and frames in the world. So it’s great for me, once a year, to say hi to all the wonderful people that work in these companies. I also love to look at anything new that might have been introduced. I need to decide at the beginning of each year whether to keep my products the same or whether to add something new and exciting to my range. Whatever I do with my professional photography business I don’t want to get complacent about anything.

So when all you lovely families that I’m photographing in 2019 see the beautiful frames, books, aluminium prints and mounted print boxes I offer, you can relax in the knowledge that a huge amount of care and consideration has gone into the whole process.

A pile of albums on a table. Two framed prints above a bed. A mounted print of three boys in front of a red, blue and white wall. A frame of photos above a sofa and cushions.
