These photos were taken on my last shoot as a London travel photographer before lockdown. And at the moment I have no idea when we’ll be through this crisis and families will be able to travel again. I miss doing these vacation photography sessions so much as really enjoy meeting new families. Some of them are experiencing London for the first time and it’s a wonderful time to photograph them.
London Travel Photographer – from Buckingham Palace to Covent Garden
This lovely family from America booked one of my 3-hour sessions, giving us time to visit more sights in London. We started the family photography session near Buckingham Palace and ended in Covent Garden. Along the way we took some beautiful, natural family portraits in the park and included a red London bus in other fun images. We walked across Westminster Bridge and took photos with the Houses of Parliament in the background. When we reached the London Eye we had time for the two children to play in the nearby playground.
Cool family portraits with graffiti
I then showed the family one of my favourite spots for family photography on the Southbank. It’s not far from the Festival Hall and I love it as the walls are covered in colourful graffiti. So cool for family portraits! And in Covent Garden we found benches surrounded with beautiful floral displays. This was the perfect spot to finish our London vacation photography session with some relaxed portraits.
I enjoyed my morning photographing this lovely family so much and it’s been great to look back through the photographs during lockdown.
