I had a great time taking these Holland Park Family photographs recently. It was a wonderfully hot summers day and such a fun photography session with this family of two lovely girls with their parents and grandparents.
Family portraits in Holland Park
There are so many wonderful parks in London, it’s one of the many reasons I love living here. It would be so hard to choose a favourite and I don’t think I could if I tried. They all have different characteristics and I love photographing in all of them. One particularly lovely park is Holland Park. It has so many different sections and is always a perfect spot for a family photography session.
This photo session was particularly special as the grandparents were over staying from Australia. So it was a great opportunity to document their time together. The two sisters looked immaculate with their hair in plaits and were wearing pretty dresses. We got some portrait photographs of the whole family together and then captured some more candid shots of the girls playing in the playground.
One of my favourite images from this photography session is the one in the Japanese- styled Kyoto Garden. It’s such a wonderful part of the park which features colourful plants and water features. The father and older daughter were looking at the fish in the pond and I just love this moment between them with the picturesque waterfall in the background.
