Baby and Family Photography – Greenwich, London

Posted by & filed under Families.

Choosing a location for your baby and family photography session is a big decision. I always encourage people to pick somewhere that has a significant meaning for them. Usually this is a local park or meeting place and I try to work the interesting landmarks into the background. I find this adds to the identity of the images. Therefore I was thrilled when Rachel got in touch and said she’d like me to take photos of her, her husband and beautiful baby boy in Greenwich. First of all this is one of my absolute favourite places for photography. And not only have I photographed many families and musicians here, but I also used to live in Greenwich. It’s an area I’m very familiar so absolutely love to do family photography sessions there!

Baby Portraits in Greenwich

Hence we met up bright and early on one of the hottest days of the year and walked around the park. Greenwich is awash with historical buildings and lavish backdrops. You might well remember that the equestrian events of the London 2012 Olympics were held there. And the views across the river to the city make a stunning background.

Favourite toys in family photos

Glimpses of these wonderful views sneak their way into some of the shots we took on the day. But the focus was completely on two lovely parents and their fabulous baby boy. The other thing you’ll see in the images below is his favourite teddy. An important plaything for young children often helps family photography run smoothly when babies get tired.

Hope you enjoy a few of the images from my latest family portrait photography session below.
