As well as doing lots of family photoshoots outside on location I also offer family photography at home. This can work brilliantly for families with young children, as they feel so comfortable in their own home, which helps create\u00a0some really natural portraits. It also has the advantage of the family home becoming the backdrop to the images, which will be so precious to look back on in years to come. And if it rains on the day of your session, and you\u2019d rather not postpone, we can do the photos in your home and stay nice and dry!<\/p>\n

With the lovely family in the photo below, the original plan was to have the photography session in their local park. However, as the family were due to move house the week after the shoot, they decided it would be ideal to have the photos taken in their home and garden. This would provide wonderful memories of their life in this house after they had moved.<\/p>\n

The morning of the session was beautiful and sunny. In fact, it was so warm we were all glad we were doing the photoshoot before the afternoon heat arrived. We began the session with some natural portraits of the whole family together in the garden. Then we got some lovely images of the two delightful girls together and also some individual portraits.<\/p>\n

Fun family photography at home!<\/h2>\n

After that it was time for a change of scene. We made our way indoors into the parents\u2019 bedroom, where the natural light was beautiful and there was the bonus of air conditioning! It was a wonderful relief as the heat of the day was starting to build. The family chatted and told jokes while the youngest girl jumped on the bed. I was so happy with this fun portrait of the whole family together. What happy memories it will provide of life in this home in years to come.<\/p>\n
