I love this recent child portrait, taken just before the incredible\u00a0heatwave we had. The family photography session took place at the start of the really warm weather. It was a beautiful summer\u2019s morning, but luckily not yet too hot to be uncomfortable.<\/p>\n

I met up with the family for their London photoshoot nice and early in one of their favourite parks. I\u2019d photographed them once before, when the little girl in the photo was a baby. So it was wonderful to see her a couple of years on – a lively, lovely two year old. And it was also fantastic to meet her baby sister. It\u2019s one of my favourite things about being\u00a0a London family photographer \u2013 seeing families every few years, meeting any new additions to the family and watching the children grow up.<\/p>\n

We began the photography session with some relaxed family portraits of the four of them together in a few locations around the beautiful park. It\u2019s great to get these groups shots at the beginning of the photoshoot, while the children are still fresh.<\/p>\n

Natural child portrait<\/h2>\n

We then captured some more candid images of the little girl playing in some long grass in the park. And it felt like the perfect moment to reach for my pot of bubbles that I always carry in my camera bag! I love photographing children chasing after bubbles. They are concentrating so much on following them being blown around and trying to pop them, that they completely forget I\u2019m there with my camera. This gives me the opportunity to take some really natural, happy shots of them having fun. There were quite a number of images that I loved from this series \u2013 I hope you like this child portrait with bubbles as much as I do.<\/p>\n
