I took this London vacation portrait last year, on one of many photoshoots I had with families on holiday here. As holidays haven\u2019t been happening for anyone recently, I haven\u2019t had any London vacation photography sessions over the summer. The last one I did was back in March, just before lockdown happened in London. I miss them so much. I love meeting families from all over the world and hearing about their lives back home. And they\u2019re so excited to be on holiday in this amazing city – it really is the perfect time to photograph them.<\/p>\n

Finding the perfect setting for your London Vacation Photography Session<\/h2>\n

When families get in touch to book their vacation photoshoot, we pick a location for the session that will work perfectly for them. Some families, particularly those will older children, are happy to walk a fair way. This enables us to include lots of London\u2019s famous landmarks in the photographs. Other families prefer to concentrate on one area, or maybe have the whole session in one of London\u2019s many beautiful parks.<\/p>\n

This particular family had opted for one of my most popular routes for London vacation sessions. Starting at Tower Bridge and walking along the River Thames to Borough Market<\/a>. Along this route there are so many fantastic backdrops for the images. As well as the more famous landmarks there are also some lesser known spots that I love to show families. But I have to admit that before meeting this family I had never taken a family portrait in the exact same place\u00a0as the one below!<\/p>\n

The perfect spot for a London Vacation Portrait<\/h2>\n

We had walked along the River from Tower Bridge and were at a busy road junction near Borough Market. While waiting to cross the road the three children all leapt up onto a nearby concrete structure and looked so pleased with themselves. It was perfect! I took a few images and was so happy with the one below. Three very excited children exploring London. And a very happy London vacation photographer, who had unexpectedly found a new setting for a family portrait!<\/p>\n
