But one of the places I find myself coming back to again and again is the Southbank.<\/p>\n<p>I have photographed so many families there. It&#8217;s a particular favourite area for families who are visiting London on holiday, with so many famous landmarks along that part of the River Thames. It\u2019s also really popular with musicians, who might know the area well from taking part in concerts at the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and Purcell Room.<\/p>\n<h2>Tower Bridge Wedding<\/h2>\n<p>I\u2019ve also photographed lots of engagement shoots along this stretch of river and some fantastic weddings too. I did one memorable wedding actually inside Tower Bridge which was wonderful. We made sure we got the group shots with the stunning bridge in the background and then the reception was just around the corner in St. Katharine\u2019s Dock. The wedding space is on the second flower of the Oxo Tower,\u00a0looking out\u00a0across the River Thames. There\u2019s also a balcony where you can take in the view across to St Paul\u2019s Cathedral. You can see images from this spectacular wedding here <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alexakidd-may.com\/blog\/index.php\/london-wedding-photographer-shenim-chris-oxo-tower-southbank\/\">Oxo Tower Wedding<\/a>\u00a0 The couple loved this area so much that they also chose to have their engagement shoot there \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.alexakidd-may.com\/blog\/index.php\/london-wedding-photographer-shenim-chris-southbank\/\">Oxo Tower Engagement Shoot<\/a>\u00a0and as you can see we made use of the famous \u201cAND\u201d sign behind the Oxo Tower on both days.<\/p>\n<h2>The Skateboard Park<\/h2>\n<p>And I can\u2019t finish this blog without mentioning the famous Skateboard Park next to the River Thames near the Royal Festival Hall. The graffiti all over the walls provide the most wonderful, vibrant backgrounds. I love to return there as often as possible to see what new artwork has gone up since last time. Actually, that\u2019s something I love about the whole area \u2013 it is constantly changing.
