In my life working as a family photographer the families often ask if they can\u00a0bring along their dog to the shoot. My answer is always a massive yes!! I know from experience that dogs are part of the family. We have a gorgeous little dog ourselves and there\u2019s no way I would leave her out of any of our family portraits.<\/p>\n

So earlier this year I met up with this lovely family in their home for a relaxed photography session. We wanted to capture\u00a0some fun moments as well as portraits of the parents with their two daughters and beloved dog.<\/p>\n

Relaxed photos in the family home<\/h2>\n

We started off taking photos in various rooms of their very stylish London home, as well as in their garden. And I\u2019m very pleased to say that their extremely well-behaved family pet made it into nearly all of the photos. The only exception was\u00a0when the sisters had a huge lightsaber fight (the younger girl is a huge Star Wars fan!) At this\u00a0point the dog rapidly retreated to a place of safety!<\/p>\n

Fun in the Park!<\/h2>\n

After capturing some natural family portraits in their home, we headed off to the local park to get some outside shots.\u00a0Their well-trained dog trotting along behind us. One of my favourite shots of the day if where the dog is holding up his paw to earn a treat\u00a0from\u00a0the younger daughter. It\u2019s one of the favourite things my children like to do with our little dog. It does always look extremely cute but I\u2019m sure she ends up with way too many treats this way!<\/p>\n

I loved this family and dog photography session so much and I was delighted to hear the family were overjoyed with the photos too.
