I was delighted when Sarah got in touch towards the end of last year. She wanted to\u00a0book a one-hour lifestyle baby and family photography session. The idea was to create a selection of photos\u00a0of her with her husband and beautiful baby boy\u00a0in their local park. The images\u00a0could then be used for Christmas presents for family and friends. This is a popular request I get in the Autumn months and I think such a lovely idea.<\/p>\n

I love winter photo shoots!<\/h2>\n

The forecast for the morning was cold – and I\u2019m talking really cold! Personally, I love photographing in the winter months. I get so hot running around taking the photos that I don\u2019t even notice the close to zero temperatures. But I just wanted to make sure that the lovely little boy didn\u2019t get too chilly on his outdoor lifestyle photography session. In the end I needn\u2019t have worried. He arrived\u00a0wrapped up in a snug red jacket. I knew this bright colour was going to look great in the photos and he smiled pretty much constantly for the whole hour we were together!<\/p>\n

The light was absolutely beautiful, as is often the case at this time of year. We had a wonderful time creating images in various spots around the park. After wandering along the River Thames and getting a good variety of family portraits we headed towards the playground. It was lovely to see this little chap have\u00a0so much fun on the slide and swings. Some time after our photography session I was delighted to hear that I\u2019d won an award from the Family Photojournalist Association<\/a>\u00a0for the photo of the baby chewing on the chain of the swing!<\/p>\n

Never leave home without bubbles!<\/h2>\n

We finished off our lifestyle family photography session with some bubbles. This always go down well at family photo shoots and to be honest I rarely leave the house without them in my camera bag!<\/p>\n
