I\u2019m so busy with my family and musicians photography these days that I\u2019m not able to take on many weddings. But when I do there’s nothing much better than being a Chelsea Old Town Hall<\/a> wedding photographer. Not only is the Town Hall not far from where I live, but it also happens to be one of my favourite wedding venues. I always love the photos taken on the iconic steps leading down to the King\u2019s Road. The\u00a0newly married couples always look so happy,\u00a0covered in smiles and confetti.<\/p>\n

Documentary Nursery Photography<\/h2>\n

Camilla asked me to photograph her wedding to Alex after I had done some documentary photography at her Nursery School. She\u2019d been so happy with the images of\u00a0the Nursery children that she wanted her wedding documented in the same natural way.<\/p>\n

Their wedding took place near the beginning of April. I’m sure we all remember we weren\u2019t having the best weather around then. Luckily the day of their wedding was lovely. It wasn’t too hot (the heatwave hadn\u2019t arrived by then) but dry and warm enough to have the portraits taken outside. This was such a relief as it\u00a0had been looking unlikely in the run up to the big day!<\/p>\n

Ceremony at Chelsea Old Town Hall<\/h2>\n

The ceremony in the Chelsea Old Town Hall was intimate and beautiful – Camilla and Alex were so relaxed and happy. After the traditional confetti shots on those famous steps, we wandered around the streets of Chelsea to capture some beautiful portraits of the newlyweds.\u00a0 Then it was on to the reception at the Ivy Garden Chelsea, just a couple of minute\u2019s walk from Chelsea Old Town Hall. I had never photographed inside the restaurant before and WOW – what an amazing place for a wedding reception! From the flower covered entrance to the floral murals in the private dining room it was all perfect!<\/p>\n

More guests had arrived for the reception and it didn\u2019t take long for the party to get into full swing, with a sumptuous sit down lunch and a lot of laughter in this stunning flower-filled room.<\/p>\n

I loved photographing this wedding – thank you so much Camilla and Alex for asking me – it was a truly special day.<\/p>\n
