As most of my photography work is in London it’s not often I get the chance to be a Kent wedding photographer. So I was very happy when the day arrived for Florence & Steve’s wedding. They were married at Chilston Park Hotel in Kent last April. The venue, set in twenty-two acres of beautiful parkland, is a stunning building. And the space outside proved to be an ideal location for all the young guests to run around and celebrate in their own way in the beautiful sunshine.<\/span>
\n My day began with photographing Florence’s bridal preparations. This is one of my favourite parts of any wedding. There is such a sense of anticipation in the air and the thought of the whole day stretching out ahead. <\/span><\/p>\n

When Florence was ready we went through to a beautiful bedroom with deep red walls. This really\u00a0was the most stunning setting for some bridal portraits. I love to capture some photos of the bride before the ceremony. Not\u00a0only is it probably the first time she’s been in her wedding dress with perfect hair, make-up as well as the bouquet, but it’s also her last few moments before saying “I will”. It’s a very special time indeed.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ceremony was beautiful and Steve’s face, when he saw his beautiful bride walking down the aisle towards him was a moment to treasure.<\/span>
\n Although it was a chilly day we still managed to get outside to take some portraits of the newly weds. I really enjoy doing the couple portraits as it’s often the first time the bride and groom have been alone since the ceremony and realise they are actually married!<\/span><\/p>\n

Then it was on to party time… and what a party it was! The wedding breakfast was wonderful, the speeches touching and the day finished in glorious style with a very lively ceilidh. It was absolutely the most\u00a0perfect evening of dancing for all generations to enjoy.<\/span><\/p>\n

I enjoyed being a Kent wedding photographer on this April day so much. It was such a fun, family wedding full of emotion, laughter and happy ever after.<\/span><\/p>\n
