I’ve been lucky enough\u00a0to work as a London Wedding Photographer\u00a0at\u00a0Chelsea Old Town Hall<\/a> before. It definitely has to be up there as one of my favourite\u00a0venues. Not only is it the most wonderful building inside, but it’s pretty fantastic\u00a0on the outside too! The iconic steps, which many a happy couple have walked down after tying the knot, are\u00a0perfect for that must-have confetti shot. This is often one of my\u00a0favourite images of the day. Also\u00a0the\u00a0hustle and bustle of the King’s Road is the perfect counterpoint for the emotion-filled wedding service inside this fabulous register office. And it’s great fun to hear the shouts of well wishers and the honking of car horns as the new Mr and Mrs emerge from the building.<\/p>\n

From Chelsea Old Town to the Medlar Restaurant<\/h2>\n

Another great thing about the location of Chelsea Old Town Hall is it’s proximity to all the great restaurants of King’s Road. This means the\u00a0newly weds don’t have far to travel to start their wedding\u00a0celebrations.<\/p>\n

That was certainly the case for a recent wedding I photographed there. The beautiful\u00a0intimate service \u00a0was followed by a delightful reception\u00a0at the Medlar Restaurant on the King’s Road.<\/p>\n

Bride and Groom Portraits on the streets of Chelsea<\/h2>\n

The Medlar is a lovely venue for a wedding reception and the guests made their way from the service following the bride and groom down the King’s Road. We stopped briefly during the short walk to grab some shots of the happy couple as they began their celebrations. I love doing portraits in this part of Chelsea. There are so many brilliant backdrops from the shabby chic\u00a0blue doorway just around the corner from the Chelsea Old Town Hall to the bus stops at various points on the King’s Road. All the backgrounds were perfect for this very elegant London Wedding.<\/p>\n
