It hardly feels like work sometimes! The image below was taken during one of many fun London family photography sessions I\u2019ve done recently. I had photographed one of the boys at his nursery, where I take the children\u2019s portraits every year. And the mum liked the photos she saw so much that she booked one of my family photoshoots for her three boys.<\/p>\n<h2>Professional Children&#8217;s Photography in the Park<\/h2>\n<p>This children\u2019s photography session took place in the family\u2019s local park in London. It\u2019s a park that meant so much to the family as it\u2019s where they spent most of their free time together. And as they were about to move out of London this special location had taken on even more meaning.<\/p>\n<p>I spend a lot of time during all of my family sessions photographing the action as it unfolds. No posing, just allowing the children to play while I take candid shots of them. But I also make sure I get some relaxed portraits of the family together, which does take a little organising. But I make sure it\u2019s still done in a fun way, so the smiles in the photos are genuine. If the photos are just of the children, I\u2019ll often ask one of the parents to stand behind me and make them laugh. After all they know their children the best and will have an idea how to produce some giggles. It could be a favourite family joke, or a bit of crazy dancing or the odd slightly rude word, I\u2019ve heard it all! I can\u2019t remember what the mum did to get her lovely boys to smile for this photo but it worked.
