I love photographing events and parties, so I was delighted to be asked to photograph this wonderful family celebration. As a London party photographer, it’s always a joy to document special occasions filled with laughter, love, and connection. This family’s gathering was no exception. With a little girl and a baby girl, the day was full of sweet moments and energy. Before guests arrived, we took the opportunity to create a few natural family portraits, ensuring we had some beautiful keepsakes alongside all the fun of the party itself.

I arrived a little early to make the most of the quiet time before the celebrations began. We captured a lovely variety of family portraits — mum and dad with their two girls, and some joyful shots with both sets of grandparents too. My favourite image from the session is the first photo below. A natural, candid moment that shows what real family life is all about. It was completely unposed and was a moment in between the more traditional natural family portraits we got. And it makes me smile every time I look at it! These moments are what make my job as a London party photographer so wonderful.

Next I photographed the guests, as the party was now in full swing. Friends and family gathered in the garden, chatting and enjoying the sunshine. Lunch looked absolutely delicious, and everyone was relaxed and happy. And finally the moment we’d all been waiting for – the beautiful cake appeared. And the little girl’s delighted reaction was priceless. It was a beautiful afternoon filled with smiles, laughter, and memories that will be cherished for years to come.
