This natural portrait was taken on the last family photography session I did before lockdown. It feels like a life time ago now, even though it was only a couple of months back. I had so many family photoshoots and London vacation photography sessions booked in over the Spring which have all had to be postponed. I\u2019m not sure when I\u2019ll be able to get back to them, but I can\u2019t wait!<\/p>\n

Relaxed family portraits at Buckingham Palace<\/h2>\n

The image below was taken near the beginning of a wonderful vacation photoshoot. I met up with this American family of four near Buckingham Palace<\/a> and we started with some natural portraits of them together. We then wandered through the park, enjoying the warm Spring sunshine. When I do family photography sessions I\u2019m always looking out for lovely moments that happen in between the portraits. This way I can produce a wide variety of images and capture some truly special moments. Sometimes this happens when the children are playing, unaware of the camera on them.<\/p>\n

A happy natural portrait<\/h2>\n

In the case of this sweet little girl, she was being carried across the park by her father. She had the most enormous smile on her face as her mother was next to me making her laugh. Even though you can\u2019t see the father\u2019s face I love this natural portrait of her. So happy to be in her father\u2019s arms, strolling through this beautiful park.<\/p>\n

After walking the whole length of the park, we made our way to Covent Garden, via the Houses of Parliament. We also took some family portraits along the Southbank, one of my favourite areas for London vacation photography.<\/p>\n
