Time for some New Year Resolutions!<\/h2>\n

I used to hate January \u2013 with Christmas over and another few cold months ahead it never filled me with joy. But since working as a London family and wedding photographer I absolutely love it! A photographer\u2019s months leading up to Christmas are crazy busy. There are so many family shoots to fit in. There are albums to design\u00a0and\u00a0gorgeous frames to order and deliver to clients. It sometimes feels that you\u2019re not going to everything done in time, but somehow you do! So when 1st\u00a0<\/sup>January comes around and everything calms down I love to\u00a0reflect on the year gone by. I also find a little time to\u00a0make a few New Year photography plans.<\/p>\n

My main resolution of 2019 is to try and share more of my photos on this blog. This is something I plan to do every New Year but as the year progresses somehow it gets pushed to the bottom of my to-do list! Before I know it I haven\u2019t shared any of my images for months. I\u2019m determined this year will be different!<\/p>\n

Favourite image series<\/h2>\n

I’m so excited that 2019 is looking like being the busiest year ever. I\u2019ve already got 30 family photography sessions booked, on top of the weddings and musician shoots in the diary. As well as sharing images from recent sessions my aim is to start a series of favourite images I\u2019ve taken over the years. One series will be\u00a0for families, one for weddings, one for musicians, one for headshots and one for my school and nursery photography. I\u2019m often asked which my favourite photos are, how I made them and why I think they work\u00a0–\u00a0so I thought this blog would be a great place to share some of my thought processes that go into creating a successful image.<\/p>\n
