I spend most of my professional life photographing families\u00a0and musicians. But I am also now lucky enough to be invited to photograph many business events all over London. I love diversity in my work, it makes life so interesting. So I was thrilled when Jenni, Managing Director of Upstream, asked me to photograph an event in White City last month.<\/p>\n<h2>Hammersmith and Fulham is such a great place to live and work!<\/h2>\n<p>Upstream is a fantastic organisation that works to promote Hammersmith and Fulham as a vibrant place to live and work. I live and photograph in the borough myself so I couldn\u2019t agree more with all their ideas. \u00a0The event I was asked to document was Upstream\u2019s first Uplift Clinic. It was to take place in Central Working in White City. The idea of the Uplift Clinic was to be a free startup clinic that was going to bring together experts. They could\u00a0then help local startups and scaleups get that extra boost needed for their businesses.<\/p>\n<h2>Central Working building in White City<\/h2>\n<p>The evening started with welcome drinks in the amazing Central Working building in White City. This was followed by all the startup business owners introducing themselves and their businesses. Then followed the main session of the evening, where all the startups could talk with each expert one at a time. The idea was to talk through ideas and gain the benefit of their knowledge. It was great to photograph all these inspiring conversations. It was also\u00a0exciting to think of where these new businesses would be heading after this evening.<\/p>\n<p>I spent some time\u00a0circling around photographing each startup business with each expert. Then it\u00a0was all back together again for drinks,\u00a0food and a good catch up. I really enjoyed being a London Events Photographer for an evening. It was inspiring to photograph\u00a0this great event with the Central Working building providing such a striking background to all the images.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019d like documentary coverage of any
