Although I spend a lot of my time as a London family photographer taking candid shots, sometimes it\u2019s hard to beat a happy family portrait. One where every family member is looking at the camera smiling. Especially when they all look as happy as this lovely lot! Add in the amazing colours of the autumn leaves and the perfect light and you have a wonderful family portrait, one that will be treasured for years to come.<\/p>\n

London family photography sessions in your favourite park<\/h2>\n

This image was from a recent London family photography session. I had photographed the family once before when the little boy was a baby, so it was lovely to catch up with them again. We did the family photoshoot in their favourite local park, as we had the previous time. It\u2019s the place where the family spend most of their free time, so it was the ideal location. The difference this time was the amazing backdrop of Autumn leaves. The first family photoshoot we did together was in the Spring, so it was wonderful to see the park looking even more glorious with all the golden colours of the trees.<\/p>\n

Creating a happy family portrait<\/h2>\n

When I\u2019m doing a family photography session I always try and check out the location before the shoot. This way I know exactly where we can begin the session. I choose a place with a beautiful backdrop and where the light will be perfect. So as soon as we meet at the park, we can get some natural portraits of the whole family together while the children are still fresh. And with little ones there\u2019s always more chance of keeping them still for a few minutes when they first arrive! And that\u2019s all the time it took to create this happy family portrait. With smiles like these it really was very easy!<\/p>\n
